Hi any recommendations besides the 2 advertising on here? I looked into The Sash Window Workshop and was surprised that they are based somewhere out near Reading - can't understand why they are advertising on here given the distance. I only need 2 small windows replaced so doubt it would be worth their while.

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

I have some sash windows that require some attention. It's mainly the bottom sash and cill. Also some of the top ones have become stuck maybe because of paint but with summer coming it would be good to have them working properly especially if it gets really hot.

Thanks

We are in the process of getting quotes to replace our UPVC windows with wooden sash. We have had a number of quotes and wondered if anyone had used Woodstock Joinery (Archway) or Muswellhill joinery?

Any feedback or recommendations would be much appreciated.

Can anyone suggest someone to help with a sash window that is not closing. It is not a huge job but it has to a handyman or similar who has some experience or knowledge of sash windows.

It didn't bother us in the summer but with winter coming we need to get this sorted so if anyone can recommend anyone who might be up for helping that would be appreciated.

I want to install new sash windows in my house in the Gardens. I want wooden double glazed windows.

Very grateful for any recommendations for companies to do the work.

Also interested if anyone in the Gardens could send photos of their original windows. I am not sure whether they should have horns inside, or just outside and what shape they should be. If you have the original windows I’d love a picture or two.

Thanks

I need to have the casement window in my kitchen replaced with a double-glazed timber window - rest of the house has new(ish) wood sash windows but it is not possible to put this in the kitchen. Has anyone used a company that they can recommend?

Hello. We've just got a house on the ladder and a month in the back bedroom window collapsed. All the quotes I am getting are craftsman prices. Is this the case with these old Victorian windows or does anyone know another way of getting it repaired?

Thanks
