Calais aid collection for young refugees
On the 29th of October a group of volunteers will be going to Calais to distribute aid to refugees sleeping rough near the site of the old Jungle refugee camp. It is one year since the camp was destroyed and its inhabitants left homeless. Many of the refugees are unaccompanied minors; they face daily hardships and despair. Winter is fast coming and many will be forced to spend it hiding in forests with no shelter and little food, it is a cold, hard and traumatic existence. We are collecting aid to help them survive the winter. We desperately lack clothing for young men:
Men’s gloves, s/m
Men’s warm winter socks
Men’s hats
New men’s underwear s/m (fitted only-not boxer) Men’s scarves
We will be standing at Finsbury Park Bus station terminal (CliftonTerr.)every morning between 8-10am till SAT 28th October to collect any items you want to contributed. Thank you and have a really good day today.
