Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A builder in my street is stripping a roof and throwing the tiles into the back of his truck, right across the pavement. It's highly dangerous - there are smashed tiles on the pavement already. The council's not interested and the Health and Safety Exec will only allow me to fill in a form. Any other ideas to get it stopped?

Ask them to stop?

Chucking stuff off roofs like this is illegal - it's got a name I can't remember what it is.

The HSE are obliged to respond. Do fill in their form and phone them they will have to send someone round eventually.

Take photos on your phone surreptitiously if you can.

Keep bothering the council.

We had some builder's like this next door - I wouldn't be surprised it it's the same people as there is a property owner/ developer who has a lot of properties in the area.  Irresponsible builders are often known to the council who are supposed to implement fines but...

Good luck.
