Hi
Anyone recommend someone to have a look at our fridge freezer....its only 5 years old side by side Samsung....I noticed yesterday the fridge wasn't v cold and the freezer was only slightly cold....today its getting worse.....I've changed the temps for both but made no difference - any recommendations would be great.....thanks
I've checked the Tradespersons sect but nothing for fridges...

Hi Steve,

I realise this is probably a very old thread by now, but could you please send me the details of the fridge freezer repairman you recommended?

Many thanks

Kumari

You're very welcome, will send it over now.

Hi Steve,

Would he take a look at something as small as a kettle? Could you pass his details over?

Many thanks, Paul

Hi Steve@Castles Steve - just finding this thread now, would you be able to send over the fridge-freezer electrician's details? Thanks so much! Becky

I recently posted a recommend for Glotech(google it) who offer a fixed price repair, with no extra charge if they haven't got the part with them. they return with the part and fit it at no extra labour charge.

I'd like to revive the thread, please. Our integrated fridge freezer needs someone to have a look at it. The doors no longer remain shut. We are the least dyi capable people on the planet. Any recommendations?

Ditto.  My fridge has gone cold on me, everything gets frozen solid. I've tried the recommended wiggling of the sensor but that's not done it.  I'm reluctant to pay a big call-out charge and would even consider bringing it to a shop if I can find there is one.

16 months later.  I fixed it, back then.  Estimated repair costs by a travelling repair person, £150.  New fridge, £200+.  Pattern part thermostat off ebay, £5.95.  Plus a couple of hours of my labour, watching youtube how-to-do-it videos then carefully removing and unthreading the old thermostat and putting in a new one. It comes with a long wire and and the sensor is on the far end, this has to sit behind the freezer plate in close contact. Take photos as you go as reminders.

So if this hadn't worked I'd lost £6 and gained a bit of learning. Really it's not difficult, just fiddly.

Hi Steve Just saw this as im lookinf for a repair guy for our Smeg fridge freezer, could you send me his number please?

Hi Steve,

Or maybe somebody new has appeared in his place??

My Samsung big fridge/freezer has electricity going in but is not cold anymore...

it’s only just out of warranty as well (5years)!

Thanks,

Kris
