Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,
Can anyone recommend someone to bag up and remove a pile of garden waste from N15, including a couple of ex shrubs? My guess is that it's 10-15 standard sized bags of stuff.
Many thanks,
Julia

Get a shredder and I suspect it will go into a couple of garden waste bags- if the council are still taking them, or you can use the shredded material as much around the various beds in your garden...

Just out of interest what's the best kind of shredder to get and where?

No idea Adam- I suspect Jewsons will have one, possibly a neighbour on HoL???

I have often wondered if there is millage in some sort of communal tool ownership type thing- think Zip Cars for your garden. Who needs a shredder 52 weeks a year?

Is a good plan especially if we could find some storage

That could well be the limiting factor. That and having someone in on the gig who is handy with fixing mechanical tools and willing to be responsible when fools like I might break something etc.

Maybe the Alexandra Palace Allotments Association [link] have ideas/experience.

That already exists!

Don't know specifically if they have a shredder though.

Thanks Justin. Normally this is exactly what I'd do (probably hire one from has) but am very pregnant at the moment and it's temporarily beyond me!

Ah understood. I have a neighbour who does odd jobs who I believe has a shredder. Would you like me to ask if he would come and do the shredding for you and tidy up etc? That any use?

Yes that would be great! Thank you.

I will check with him (Alan) and let you know
