Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Fair will open at 12 noon on Saturday with live music performed throughout the day on a stage powered by solar panels. As well as many local acts and choirs, the headline act is the legendary band, ASWAD.

Music will continue up to the start of the outdoor screening of the first England World Cup match at 7.30pm.

The fair will be split into environmentally-themed zones with a wealth of information for families to take away. There will be fun activities for children and adults along with a delicious range of refreshments for everyone to enjoy.

All suppliers to the fair must abide by a series of requirements that will ultimately reduce their carbon footprint or compensate the environment accordingly.

The Fair will be divided into zones, including the following:

Waste and Recycling Zone - the place to come for everything you need to know about rubbish! Participate in the ‘give or take’ activity and use this zone to find fascinating facts about waste and information to help you at work, school or at home.

Low Carbon Zone. This is solar charged to provide advice and support on lowering your carbon footprint. Along with small talks, the Ecohouse will be here enabling visitors to see exactly what measures to take at home to save money and the environment. There is also a carbon gym, an energy bike and see some amazing carbon-busting technology.

Children's Activity Zone where children can play, learn and have fun. Activities include,

* recycled Art workshops - (take away what you've make)
* trampolining
* Professor Kayoss (Children's Eco-Entertainer)
* Brazilian Drumming Workshop
* Brazilian Dance workshop
* facepainting

Biodiversity zone to raise awareness, interest and understanding of local Biodiversity. Through the fair we want to get people excited about the variety of wildlife in London and show them what they can do to help encourage and protect wildlife.

Sustainable Transport Zone with free bicycle repairs on offer, and information on green technology for vehicles, the zone will also consult on the borough's transport strategy. There will be a fun simulator to improve your driving skills and a 'try a bike' activity for kids.
