Anyone know when this might be open?

Spotted one of the new commercial units had a fitting recently, for a cafe. Big Gusto sign in the window, lots of white chairs. Not the most exciting look but would be good to get something else on the Sainsburys/Tesco stretch that isn't a takeaway or an empty unit.

It's the council who gives building consent etc. Hmm, I wonder if they are applying for a licence?

Apparently because the housing association own the bit of pavement around the shop unit as well, they can give permission for most of this stuff. The cafe owner though just put up the awning, then when they were told to remove it, applied for retrospective planning under a 'signage' clause. It'd be funny, but its not....
