Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Whilst the exact nature of the residential development on the western part of the St Ann's Hospital site is yet to be determined, a new planning application shows that there are signs of progress with the development of the hospital on the eastern portion.

You can view and comment on the full application through Haringey's planning portal.

As I've mentioned in my various histories of the area (including one one of my Wikipedia histories), the site of St Ann's used to belong to the Order of the Knights of St John and was used chiefly for farming. Due to this long history of occupation on the site, there will be some limited archaeological surveying done before the development starts.

Is the applicant a member of the StArt team? i.e. is this the StArt crowd's application or something else?

StArt's interest only relates to the residential development of the site, the western portion.

How can a local get involved with the archaeological surveying?
Its not that I dont trust them......but I dont. :)

Probably your best bet is to approach the health trust through a local historical society and see if you can prevail on them.
