Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Has anyone else who gets milk delivered by Moreton Dairies found that their deliveries have suddenly stopped this week? Or do I have milk thieves? Dairy Crest used to deal with enquiries on behalf of Moreton, but now not only do they say they have no record of me as a customer, they claim never to have heard of Moreton. It's like a parallel universe!

Hugh. Had a similar issue early Dec. We are not due another delivery at the mo but will watch out for it.

On a parallel thread. I had an issue with my bill in Dec. I thought it was too high, so I did not pay it and wrote a note suggesting they get in touch and show me how they calculated the bill. I have not heard a word since and just had a bill that was lower than the previous one even though we have had a month's more milk. I have also had the dairy crest run around (though the milk bottles still say dairy crest on them).

They seem like a black box to be honest. I really want to support a small local business but when I have no way to contact them or they cannot be bothered to communicate with me and I get a bill simply have no way of verifying I am wondering if I am doing the right thing!

Cheers Justin. It's very odd isn't it. If I learn any more I'll report back.

We have had our pintas delivered this week as usual. Though I do echo Justin's comment that they can be very frustrating to deal with - communication skills non-existent!

Normal delivery here as well, though I had a bill that seemed to high (and seemed to be for a different house) so queried it and after a couple of weeks got a lower bill.

They did miss a delivery once and once I got someone else's order, but apart from that they seem OK.

We have been getting deliveries from Morton as normal. We did have a real problem earlier last year with our milk being nicked almost every day for a while - we must have been someone's breakfast filling station. Vigilance Hugh. You'll have to resort to sleeping by the front door and peeping through the letterbox.

I was right all along. Our milk is in fact delivered by Haering's Milk Faeries. Too many of the kind people of Harringay had been saying 'Thank you' to the milk faeries over Christmas and one of them has finally copped it as a result. I'll be setting my alarm for four in the morning for the next few days and simply clapping them faeries back to life.
