Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

We are looking to buy a house on either The Avenue or Malvern Road. Does anyone know if these roads are a cut through for traffic coming off the High Road heading South near Turnpike Lane? Also, any thoughts on the area would be really helpful.

Many thanks.

Thank you - that’s realy useful information.

All the roads between Hornsey Park Road and Alexandra Road are rat runs. These roads require a parking permit for residents but unfortunately that does not guarantee a parking space outside the property or even in that road. The roads are used by all persons who have a permit for that particular zone, and that includes those shopper from the far reaches of the Wood Green Zone. I do live very close to those roads and quite frankly it can be a nightmare parking due to the shopping area between Wood Green and Turnpike Lane. Also check o n the development of the rail system that might or might not pass through the SHOPPING CITY that might or might not be sold off to developers. GOOD LUCK

Thank you.

not sure about traffic, but in general - the more I live there the more I love this area. Great shopping, pretty quiet, nice markets with vegie and fruits, great balance of prices, transport connection to the centre. Green Lanes is nearby, which is more or less trendy at the moment, same as Hornsey and Wood Green. It's a good investment to move in, I believe.

Good to know that you like the area - thanks.
