My name is Jacob and I am a 25 year old London based musician, producer, and DJ. I have studied music since a young age, and have three grade 8s in Piano, Saxophone, and Flute.

I have accrued a fair bit of experience in teaching music, both to young kids and adults. In the year 2016 I worked in a Harringay based music academy and taught not only individual classes to kids, but also group classes too. I am able to guide students successfuly through the ABRSM exam schemes. I have been teaching music privately to individuals since early 2015. References are available upon request. Clean CRB.

Pricing for lessons:

30 minutes - £20
1 hour - £35
1.5 hours - £50

My teaching ethos:
My belief, especially when it comes to the younger learners, is that the learning of a musical instrument should be pleasurable, and that the learning environment should be comfortable for the student. I feel that it is vital that in the early stages of learning an instrument that the child does not feel pressured into doing something; this normally ends up with the individual resenting the instrument and the experience. I therefore never pressure an individual into doing something that they don't feel comfortable with, and instead I always look to find an area of the learning that they find the most fun and help to push them more in that direction.
