Plumber recommendation - Neil Protheroe
I can highly recommend Neil Protheroe, great guy to deal with, always responds very quickly. He's done a few jobs at my place and very happy to recommend his work.

Yes, a little known fact about Sir Tim that he started out as a humble plumber's mate in Deptford, and he likes to keep his hand in should the music business ever go sour for him. I normally get Timbo round if I've got a broken washer or whatnot, although I wouldn't really recommend him at this time of year because he tends to be away for the summer in his villa in Mustique

Found Neil after looking on here and he does encourage you to write something if he did a good job as clearly this is a good place to come to get local recommendations, but he didn't give us a discount... and you wouldn't bother going out of your way to write a good review if it was a bad job even for money off would you! We all have reputations to uphold.
So I'd like to say he did a decent job for us when we had a massive leak late on a Saturday afternoon a month or so ago. Coming round as fast as he could after another job which ended up being about 8pm, and then returning promptly on Sunday at the arranged time to fix things properly. Diagnosis took a little bit of time as the pipes were in an awkward place and there was a fair bit of umming and arring, but he's definitely reliable, easy to get hold of and communicate with, willing to do unsociable hours and stay until the job is done, even if it means missing the Tottenham game! We've had no further problems which is the main thing, and I'd definitely use him again.

I've had a few plumbers since I moved to the ladder - all have been good but inevitably have had their own idiosyncrasies.
Maybe Neil falls into the same category but I got him to do some work for me earlier in the year and all went well - I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
if there'd been an option of a "discount for good review" I would have certainly taken the opportunity but it was never offered and the accusation seems a bit below the belt.
If anybody would like to DM me and discuss / view the work I'm more than happy.

I use Neil all the time and he's excellent, he's s never let me down. The only negative I can think of is that he's a Tottenham fan..
