26 hurt though none serious.  Party bus that mistook metres for feet? .

Police have issued this photo of the driver making his getaway:

haha for this picture but not haha for the VERY tasteless subject heading for this post by StephenBin!!

Oh Damn.. Wasn't the discussion what you were expecting..?

What would you call it then...?

A bus loses it's roof? Driver shunts up wrong back alley..

Lighten up a bit, will you..

These things happen.. much more often than many imagine..

well at least the last London beheading, done by a madman, was not in Tottenham but somewhere north-west.

I agree with Geraldine especially as this month is the 31st anniversary of the death of PC Blakelock (I know it's still disputed as to whether the intention was to decapitate him). I'm surprised at you Stephen.

Anyway, it was a party bus not a regular bus as I first thought, but even so surely the driver would have realised they were not going to make it under the bridge?!

Come on Angela, this is getting ridiculous.

I changed the title because it was obvious it was being misread.

It reminds me a bit of Mary Whitehouse. No offence was meant and I certainly can't control the nasty thoughts or bad taste that go through your minds. The intereptation was yours and not mine. So naughty yous, for thinking those things.

I know that you meant to be amusing but sometimes 'innocent' fun can be harmful. A simple apology is maybe too hard for you. I think you might now feel under attack because your response is getting quite rude. Oh well. thank you for changing the title. I appreciate it. xMaryW

The wording of your thread title was sensationalist -  worthy of a red top; especially in view of recent events in the borough.

One of the best discussions on HoL ever imo was the one about skinheads earlier this year. Your posts were so informative, personal and moving, particularly your last one about your friend in Venice. No one could say anything after that as it would have been meaningless.

Which is why I am surprised at your over reaction (imo)

The bus was 'worthy of a red top' too.. But it lost it..

Lighten up Angela.. You got your way.. I changed the title..

@Geraldine  Thank you, but I really don't think an apology is necessary.

@Angela.. talking about Venice.. this came up on the BBC website today.. It was fifty years ago now.. Apparently it was Florence and not Venice :-(  But Peter was there for months doing restoration work on books. Sadly, he isn't to be seen in the clip..  A bit OT on this thread tho'.
