The plaque says 1898 and it looks remarkably well preserved 110 years later.

These look rather lovely, quite grand. Wonder what they are like inside.
Note the Paul Simon sign spoiling the look of the front.

Who remembers Tony Halls newsagents here in the 1970's ?

The corner shop shown as B's Flooring was a newsagent until about 15 years ago. They shut as a result of continued pilfering by schoolchildren. Then it became a carpet shop but that too has closed.
