We can be more precise than that. This photo was taken in 1909.

Motor Bus Route 13, which commenced operation on 6th May 1909, ran from HARRINGAY (Queens Head) to Peckham via Green Lanes, Manor House, Finsbury Park, Camden Town, Hampstead Road, Great Portland Street, Oxford Circus, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Bridge, Elephant & Castle, Camberwell, PECKHAM RYE. A joint operation between the L.G.O.C and the Thomas Tilling Bus company..

Motor buses werestill in their infancy and many new services were introduced on a trial and error basis. Route 13 wasn't successful and was withdrawn after service on 15th September 1909, leaving the section between Harringay and Camden Town to be served only by trams until Route 29 was introduced.

Route 13 was the precursor in Harringay of Route 29 which first appeared on 20 November 1911 - making it nearly one hundred years old!
