Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Prior to the late twenties/early thirties road widening which included the demolition of the parade of shops on the right.

Though the traffic problem at this spot is more apparent in the other pictures of this scene published (see tag below right), a newspaper article published in the Lancashire Evening Post on 14 November 1925 outlined the situation at Finsbury Park Station in no uncertain terms:

Liptons Tea Rooms - were they still there in the 50s and 60s? Certainly were still buying their tea all over.
