Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi all.

Was scanning through HO and I couldn't find any forums for local musicians/producers so I'd thought I'd start one here.

My name is Alan Taylor and I live in Bounds Green N22. I have been writing & recording music for a couple of years now, mostly in the dance style but I'm over 50 now so my music isn't that contemporary lol. Anyway if there's (and I know Haringey is very well represented by musicians) any other musicians or producers like myself then here's the forum for you too. Who knows maybe this could be the start of some very interesting collaborations? Anyway here's a selection of some of my original work that I have on Youtube. I hope you enjoy them, If so why not contribute here.

Thanks.

A nice thought Alan.
I come from Detroit and live in the Ladder. I have a couple of bands in Italy still but need to organise something here, starting with a rhythm section here for a (1966/7-ish in my mind right now) soul music group. Have a great female singer here in London. My profile pic is with Booker T Jones of Booker T & the MGs, gods to me!

Husband is an ex-professional bass guitarist and very much into that genre, really misses playing and has plenty of time for gigs, give me a shout if you want to get him round for a jam (we're on Wightman).

Cool.  I am still organising the singer and having the first get together tomorrow (spent the summer moving up from the Continent). I hope to be able to take you up on your offer at some point sooner rather than later!

Great idea Alan and thanks for starting the discussion.

I play Flamenco guitar. I play for a dance class and am willing to collaborate if there are any Flamenco singers and/or dancers are around and would like to work on something.

Thanks.

I go to see my brother in Andalucia for this sort of thing. Happy to know that there is a possibility I don't have to travel as far. And if you know anyone looking for a 60s Ramirez Flamenco model, please point them in my direction.....;)

Hi, there are a lot of Flamenco performances going on in London all the time. One way to know what's up is the 'Flamenco - London' group on Facebook.

I might be interested in your Ramirez guitar myself if it's the right guitar for me.

Any chance I can see/play it? I'll send you connection request.

Thanks - Ali
