Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Nora Mulready, yes, still around and still thinking that the honest deselections this time around are worse than the dishonest ones she was engaged in last time around. BBC link here.

Previous form here.

This is not about politics but democracy. Four years ago Nora was a behind the scenes member of a campaign to fraudulently deselect council candidates in selection meetings. It beggars belief that here she is demanding that the deselections in Haringey be investigated when the IDs were thoroughly checked and many more members took part in meetings.

Is Nora Mulready still the partner of John Blake?

This Labour firebrand is surely not still cohabiting with an employee of the Michael Gove-founded Tory vehicle, Policy Exchange. The last I heard of John Blake, he was advising the Treasury to withhold extra funding for Schools in the Budget.

It's almost as if the demise of this pair's careerist aspirations within the Labour party has in some way been a source of resentment.

Yes but he’s no longer a member of the Labour Party.

So she's pals with this gentleman? https://policyexchange.org.uk/author/john_blake/

Who is also full of praise for Gove's successor at Education Nicky Morgan ...

Hope no-one is feeling bullied - I (also being a Labour party member) feel a bit bullied that no-one at the BBC bothered to dig a bit deeper about the local, and it seems national, context ...

She’s married to him.

From Blake's bio;

'He previously worked for the Harris Federation, one of England’s most successful multi-academy trusts, as a History Consultant; as an assistant headteacher at the first selective sixth-form free school'

... ie. the dark side. For new Labour & the Tories it has always been about selling state education over to the private sector, companies like https://www.pearson.com/uk/ To them it's all about business & shareholder profit

I was in contact with the producer of this piece at the BBC and have almost begged her to be allowed a right of reply to Nora. How can she have any credibility over this issue, let alone enough to be allowed this piece on the BBC's website?

That might be a bit creepy.

Stuart MacNamara provides a rebuttal John in that piece you link to.

Hardly. He doesn't mention Nora's previous AT ALL.

He does to some extent but as others have said she is allowed to go on and on unchallenged about sinister deselections, when she was herself involved in an apparently dodgy re-selection which actually succeeded - and I seem to recall, wasn't a member of this forum then threatened by the police for whistleblowing? Talk about bullying ...

She and her husband lied to the police and I ended up being issued with a harassment notice. Through £1500 generously donated by outraged neighbours and £4500 of my own money I was able to employ solicitors to convince the police to delete it.
