Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

It just took me almost half an hour to get from Oakfield Rd to home - the temporary traffic lights are on a very short phase. Best avoided if possible.

Thanks for the heads up Maddy.

I noticed a gaggle of traffic wardens issuing parking tickets on cars on Wightman Road today. It looks like some of the parking bays are suspended but some still had cars parked in them.

I also saw a couple of road works signs which say from the 4th Feb until some time in July. I'm assuming this means the work to take the parking spaces off the pavement is starting, but I can't find any details on the council's website. Does anyone know what is going to happen? Temporary traffic lights etc?

to JulieB and anyone else:

Four Construction Phases - No.1 started this week, continuing until mid-March:

North & South Extremities: i.e. Turnpike Jct to Mosque and Endymion to Burgoyne Jcts.

Mon-Fri: 8.00 - 18.00   and Sats 8.00 - 13.00 .

Enjoy!  or (more environmentally friendly)  scrap that bloody vehicle and enjoy our Wightman scenery.

Ditto. It's going to be a lot more interesting after all the parking bays are moved on to the road. The amount of individuals driving in London, given the reasonably cheap and convenient public transport still boggles the mind.

Necessary ? Well we need to have a few potholes filled. Some have been there since last year. There is a huge one that could swallow a G Whiz at the exit from the carpark behind Muswell Hill M&S.

But not to panic - many have been outlined with white paint so no danger of damage to vehicles.
