Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Has anyone else noticed there is an accumulation of rubbish/fly tipping at the top of Seymour road where it meets Wightman road? It appears to be related to the large house on the corner that has removed its front lawn and hedges and has multiple bins of waste outside. It’s in a really poor state and I think it’s attracting more flytippers and also graffiti.

Does anyone know if anything can be done? Can we raise it with the council? Any other ideas how to solve this?

Thank you

Suggestions :
1. If you haven't already done so, take photos and report the rubbish dumping to the Council. The free website Fix My Street suggests two photos: a wider view and a close-up. (I prefer Fix My Street but other people choose the Council's website or app.)
2. You may be correct in your assumptions about who is dumping, but I advise not jumping to conclusions about one particular address.
Bear in mind that after years deploring street rubbish dumping Haringey has made many prominent roads officially "timed bag collections". This - in my personal view - has helped to model, normalise and encourage widespread dumping.

3. If there is no improvement then email Seema Chandwani the "Cabinet" councillor who has waste management in her brief.
seema.chandwani@haringey.gov.uk

Also copy-in the three Harringay ward councillors. In alphabetical order:
gina.adamou@haringey.gov.uk
zena.brabazon@haringey.gov.uk

4, If you haven't already done so, explore the back pages of HOL. Lots of useful and perceptive discussion. Especially comments and observations from Liz Ixer.

5, Lower your expectations. Local councils across the country really have had deep and unnecessary cuts and the result is some public squalor. Bear in mind too that Haringey senior staff who claim to be regenerating the borough appear to give priority to regenerating the profits of property developers. Apparently paying little or no attention to basic issues such as the cleanliness of streets, parks, alleyways etc.

I know the house you mean and report dumping there about once a week
