Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello, can anyone help?

I'm petsitting for a neighbour on a ladder road and they have sent me cctv footage of a man casing their house last night. As they are in a different time zone I have offered to report it to police for them. Easier said than done. After 40 minutes searching online I am unable to locate a non-emergency number for the local police. If you call the 101 number it tells you to report online and they will contact you within 48 hours, by which time their home could have been burgled and pet harmed or worse. This is rubbish!

Does anyone have the number for the local police team?

If you have footage you can send it to Police

Its same switching centre as 101 , so dial 999 and let them allocate it to local Police

Haringey does have its own Facebook page for Police

But Officers are not normally available to take calls

There are many shady people about

Recently updated my car to one with a Electric Key

I have sensor on front door been activated many more times since updated car

But key is secure in Safety Box , well away from front door and Front door is old style

I spoke to 101, they gave me a number for local police that doesn't work. I had a previous email contact from when I reported drug dealing and taking outside my house but when I emailed that officer he replied he isn't currently a community officer and I should dial 101. I emailed him back asking him for the local police number and he ignored this and told me to report it at Tottenham Police Station. I replied that I could not do that as I'm not in the area, asked him to whom I should send the footage and asked him again for the local police number, and have been ignored. It's very frustrating that I can't speak to anyone and that I have evidence on video which could possibly identify someone involved in other crimes, and that nobody is interested. It's also worrying that there's no way of contacting the local police and that all the links online to safer neighbourhood team site are broken. We'll probably see a report that crime statistics are lower in coming months due to nobody being able to report anything... you couldn't make it up... #brokenbritain

Hi Tris thanks for supplying that number, I just tried it but unfortunately it just rings and rings.

Assuming that you're enquiring about a Harringay (not Haringey) matter:

Harringay SNT Mobile - 079 2023 3786 (Not always answered, but should have VM).

Email: harringay.snt@met.police.uk

Hi Lauren

Hugh has already given you the SNT's details but for your ref also see this thread in case my description of the suspect sounds familiar...
