Baldwins - retiring - but who's eating all the sausages?

I'm sure someone must have posted this before and it's sad that the owner wants to retire (will be missed)

But I had no idea they're turning out 200-250kg sausages a WEEK. Who's eating them all???

Oh that’s such an awful shame! It’s one of the best shops on the high street - home made and smoked sausages are an increasingly rare sight in London and so are all the Greek cypriot products. I do wonder what the economics are like - I don’t have 500k sitting around but with a slight refresh this business can surely grow and attract customers from further afield.

I'd assume that someone will buy it as a going concern so long as they get the sausage recipe and client list.

They also get income from the accommodation above

Yes - I saw that it’s all laid out in the post. Surely 85k net profit on 880k revenue base can be improved upon...

Not being a butcher I'd have no idea, but given the turn over you'd have thought so.

I'd better get down there and stock pile my favourite -- Oxtail!!! 'Rabo de Toro' stew mmmmmmmmmmm.......

Yeah I second this, it’s definitely one of the best shops in the neighbourhood with a great selection of Greek/Cypriot produce. I was just there earlier today & they seemed to be doing very good business, partly down to Greek Orthodox Easter being this weekend I’m sure. Hopefully whoever take it on does as good a job.

Must have been a tough decision to sell up at this moment in time due to the increased demand in their products. Boom period profit expected for most food retailers in the next few months for obvious reasons.

Health and safety come first though.
