Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone know what's happening with the parking at present? I haven't seen any wardens and there's nothing on Haringey website.

Parking restrictions are suspended, see top of this page: https://www.haringey.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/parking

But is this still the case? I've asked around and there seems to be some doubt - they say changes may be made at short notice.

IANAL but surely they'd have to tell people.

Also how are people supposed to buy visitors permits with the mail backed up and the library shut?

I applied for visitor's permits on Monday and they came in the post today.

I'm sure I saw someone on here (HoL) saying parking restrictions would be enforced from (I think) last Tuesday, but I haven't seen any wardens here either. We usually have someone once maybe twice a day.

The parking department at Haringey replied to me within an hour or so when I asked them about renewing my CPZ permit. I used the contact form on the Haringey website.

Actually that was me - I heard it from someone who'd spoken to a warden in Wood Green though I did say it was unconfirmed.

What's your rationale behind this please?

There wasn't any communication that they were stopping enforcement so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't announce it restarting.

Stopping enforcement was on the Council website.

It was but I imagine most people don't constantly check the council website to ensure that the restrictions that were in place are still in place.

There was no "on-the-street" communication.

Well then, " most people " deserve what they get

Or they could just behave as if normal restrictions were in force.
