Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone know what's happening with the parking at present? I haven't seen any wardens and there's nothing on Haringey website.

I'm sure I saw a parking warden on my road yesterday. The sight of said warden made me check my almost out of date res permit.

Got to renew by Wednesday.

There are Traffic Wardens out for Double Yellow restrictions

But Not Permit Parking

Lets hope they will at least email us like they did with discussion on charge increases

Just spotted this link on Twitter: https://www.haringey.gov.uk/news-and-events/haringey-coronavirus-co...

CPZ expected to be enforced from mid-late June.

I've commented on the Council's Facebook page as HoL and asked if they might please consider letting HoL know in good time when parking enforcement will restart. I don't hold out much hope, but it's worth a shot.

I've also asked Cllr Seema Chandawani to tip us the wink - have much higher hopes of her doing so.

At the bottom of the parking changes consultation email I received on 3 June it says:

"We would also like to take this opportunity to let you know that parking enforcement will be resuming soon and we will update Haringey residents once a date has been agreed."

And the rider below the line says "We are contacting you because our records show that you hold an active permit account with Haringey Council".

So I hope they'll email all such account holders in good time, though that doesn't help the internet-free among us...

Council update on return of parking restrictions, posted 10 June on the Covid updates page:

"Parking enforcement to resume - what to expect
Full parking enforcement in Haringey is set to resume in the near future, as part of the council’s plans to ensure road safety and reduce delays to critical services.

Parking enforcement in the borough is still operating at a reduced level, with Council Enforcement Officers (CEOs) only enforcing prohibited (more serious) parking in town centres or at other locations where there has been a report of dangerous parking.

Residents and other motorists using our parking facilities can expect notification of arrangements over coming weeks. This will include notifications in our town centres and car parks as well as notices placed on all vehicles parked across the borough.

Those notices (called warning notices) will explain the staged approach being adopted and will give everyone enough time to make the necessary arrangements, including applying for parking permits."

Haringey web site clearly states Resident parking bays are still suspended. Yellow lines, disabled bays private car parking was never free. However I noted on the site it states that they will be re introduced soon but Haringey state they will be placing notices around the borough when this occurs with some notice. Hope this help.
