You can get a HALS ( Haringey Adult Learning Services ) brochure in libraries. Language courses include Spanish. Unfortunately, they don't start again until the end of September.

I'd be happy to join you if anything more useful comes up.

I'd also be interested in joining a group locally :) x

If you don't find anyone in Haringey, join the London Spanish Language Meetup  - it's amazing! I've been a member for 5 years now and we are a lovely friendly bunch. It's not classes, just conversation practice, social and cultural events - Salsa, flamenco, Latin American cinema etc.. so maybe find a Spanish teacher locally and combine with this for language practice. Sureka x

Pero -

Atencion: This meetup group is definitely not for beginners looking to learn basic Spanish.

Oh yeah - I assumed she wasn't a beginner because she said she wanted to start it up again. It's for intermediates and is conversation not classes. Lo siento! x

Where is it ? I couldn't see anything on the first page of their website.

ps I do like " hispanohablantes

tried the HALs course a couple of years ago. very poor. Native Spanish teacher with poor teaching skills. It was all 'going into the clothes shop and asking 'do you have a size 31 rubbish'. It was supposed to be a conversation class! I go for Gumtree London 'language and skills swap' I've met some really nice people that way.

I am English and more than fluent in English (!!), and I want to learn basic converstional Spanish, and I am looking for a Spanish person in this local area who seeks to improve their English. I'm looking for an 'intercambio', where we meet weekly, maybe over a coffee, and talk for two hours, the first hour in one language, the other hour in the other language.

If anyone knows such a person who might be interested in this, please ask them to phone Martin on 0779 001 6351.   Muchas gracias!

Maybe we could organise a weekly Spanish Language Meet-up at one of the coffee-houses on Green Lanes. What do people think about that ?

I'd be up for a local Spanish language 'meet up'/get together.

I,m also looking for conversation practice, have studied it before so I don,t want a beginners class. Would like to join a group locally!
Me too. I have basic spanish and want to practice and learn through conversation. Local would be brilliant.
