Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

SPANISH SPEAKING LESSONS AND GROUPS

Does any one have any idea where beginners can meet to get Spanish Speaking skills, attend Latino meetings and where there are Latin American groups who meet in Haringey - NEED TO START ON THE ROAD LEARNING SPANISH AGAIN! BUT SERIOUSLY THIS TIME!! So any help with teachers and groups is greatly appreciated!!!!

Yes, it was a fun time, and everyone put up with the rustiest one (me), with the patience of Santa Maria herself. It really inspired me to want to go into the studying, so I can ask each person an actual full sentence-question, next week !

So, yes... come one, come all, to Cafe Blend next Sunday, between 12 and 2.

Hi all, I'd like to know if the conversational Spanish meet up will be a regular event?  My girlfriend and I are just taking our first lessons and are very interested in joining you all in a couple of weeks once we have a better grasp of vocabulary.  Is there a page that we can keep up to date on the group?  Many thanks, Anthony

I hope so Anthony - it will continue as long as people keep coming.

Maybe Hugh will let us form a group within HOL.

The second meeting of the Spanish conversation group took place today - looks like it is going to become a regular fixture.

As nice as Cafe Blend is, we've found the background music and chatter makes it difficult to hear each other, so from now on the group is going to meet at Lordship Lane hub cafe in the middle of Lordship Rec: https://lordshiphub.org.uk/. 

At least a few of us plan to be there next Sunday, from 12 until 2ish. All Spanish speakers welcome, particularly any native speakers who could help us along!

I'll see if I can set up a regular event on HoL to publicise it, and so people can let others know they are attending

I think the original responders such as myself would still be interested, but we need

a) more than 3 or 4 people for a drop-in to work

b) at least one person who is more confident of their grammar and vocab to give others a lead

Any comments from those who started the thread?

We met at Blend cafe on Green Lanes, and at the Hub cafe in Lordship Rec, but it's up to whoever wants to get it together!

I agree. We needed someone fluent in Spanish to lead the group.
