Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi All,

I would like window shutters in my living room, but we have rather odd window frames and handles, and so would definitely need them to be fitted and installed by someone else. Does anyone know of any good local companies?

Many Thanks,

Liz

We used www.clementbrowne.co.uk and they did a great job.

Thanks Justine! I'll give them a call.

We paid £1000 plus vat for 3 sash bay windows.

Shutters look great, but don't rely on them for security - they can lull you into a false sense of that, though they are good at blocking the view indoors. In my last place they were jemmied apart in seconds the cops reckoned.  And the windows, split away from the frame. This was in a fairly hidden basement area so they had plenty of time.  Maybe you can get reinforced ones?

Shaftesbury shutters do a good job, you'll get 20% plus if don't go through the shop. They actually keep the place quite a lot warmer as well when they're all shut.

Thanks! I'll get a quote from here too

Hello Elizabeth,

Who did you end up going with? And would you recommend them?

Thanks

We used shutterstore.com measured them ourselves and then got Ross Day to fit them (Mobile: 07706 927 771). It cost us about £700 + £100 fitting all in for three windows. It is definitely the cheapest way to do it.

Cheers Joseph.
