Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This Thread is a 'Sticky' thread acting as a central exchange for Cat Sitting

Hello all

I'm not sure how this would work or if anyone would be interested but here goes......

I have 2 cats and I live on the southern end of the ladder. I would be more than happy to cat sit for others in the area and would love it if someone could return the favour for me from time to time.

I am CRB checked and have looked after animals, and cats, all my life. I also have family members and friends who are vets and vet nurses.

Would there be some way of making a little local cat sitting group?

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Cheers!
Sally

I'm on Mattison Road  and would be happy to help - I'm going away myself on the 19th though.  I'll send you a link thingammy

Thanks so much for responding but I've managed to rope a friend into house / cat sitting for us now!
Happy to help anyone else out that needs their cat feeding though

No problem - happy to help in the future - we're fairly close

Hello,

I live on Wightman near the Greek Church. We're away from the 24th of August to the 29th and are looking for someone to pop in and feed our cat. He's very independent and we usually only see him when he wants food during the summer months. Am happy to pay or return the favour.

Thanks.

Sorry not sure what you mean by southern end do you mean south London?

Anna

Hi Anna. No she doesn't mean South London. She means round here, North London eg N4, N8. I think Julie is trying to co-ordinate things for people needing cat feeding, if that helps.

Thank you Justin.
I unfortunately trying to look for a new home for my Cat Bubbles, I wrote out a text all about him and added some photos and pressed send, but I haven't seen it on this site yet.

Hi Anna. If you're having problems, just reply on here with the detail about your cat Bubbles needing a home.

In the alternative, you can start a new post on this site about Bubbles by going to Forum and then Start a New Post.

(I'll also send you a connection request, so just accept it when you receive it).

For anyone who can't get a neighbour to help, here is a recommended cat sitter/feeder

Just a reminder that I post regularly here with photos and details of Stokey cats needing homes. Stokey Cats and Dogs are a local volunteer group who rescue and rehome stray cats in the community.

They also welcome donations on their fundraising page to help them in respect of veterinary and care costs.

If you can't offer a cat a permanent home, they also urgently need more foster carers - which means looking after a rescued cat on a temporary basis until a permanent home is found.

Hi Everyone,

We're looking for a cat/house sitter for 2 1/2 weeks during the holidays and also for a long weekend in February.  Ideally would like someone who can stay in our home.

Offering accommodation and small change in return for cat sitting duties.  Sadly, can't afford a traditional cat sitter.

My regular sitters are unavailable.  Anyone know of a trustworthy cat person (with references) who would be interested?  Possibly a student in shared accommodation who would like their own place for a while?

Thank you!

Hi,

My niece may be interested if you are happy for a student. She is currently at Reading University final year of an English literature degree. She was going to stay at mine over some of the holidays so she could write her dissertation. She is very kind, considerate and clean and loves animals.

What are the dates you are looking for? and if you want, I could ask her.

Emma
