Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This week sees a plethora of roadworks and temporary traffic lights seemingly coordinated to drive me to distraction. Anyone able to join the dots for me?

Half term.

The roadworks at Wightman/Turnpike Lane are for gas works, according to roadworks.org: "Cadent (formerly National Grid Gas Distribution) are carrying out essential gas maintenance in the road to replace old iron gas mains with more durable plastic pipes. This is to ensure we continue to provide safe and reliable gas supplies to local businesses and residents."

I wonder if they found something unexpected when digging up the road a few months ago (I think that was to install the gas pipe junctions to feed the new Haringey Heartlands development)?

The temporary lights there seem a bit of a shambles, it feels very unsafe crossing as a pedestrian.

They were all off the other day: 12 lanes of traffic just winging it!
