Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Knocked over streetlight by the charity shop .

Spoiled pavement at the side of Devran. I hope the council are going to charge them for cleaning off the paint and cement from when they had their wall done.

Roads and pavements get damaged all the time and you can be sure Haringey will do nothing about it, so we have to pay !

My next door neighbours had a renovation done. Skips put dents in the road surface when they were dropped. Bags of ballast were put on the pavement cracking and misaligning the paving.  I cannot think why Haringay does not take before and after photos for large building jobs.

Look at Crouch End after loads of water leaks and poor repairs, we have to cycle through the pot holes caused by this and we need Mountain Bikes.

I noticed this morning that the streetlight was still lying across the pavement. I spoke to one of the staff at Devran yesterday and asked him if he knew when the plaster and paint was being cleaned off the pavement and he said he would ask his boss. I won't hold my breath.
Walked past just now and notice some black sticky gunge is the latest addition to the Devran pavement spoilage. Wonder what next?
Yes. I walked past it weds (if memory serves) and they had cleaned their gutter and simply allowed the crud to be walked into the pavement rather than cleaning it. I looked for the manager I know there but did not find him. I will keep looking so as to mention it to him.

Well, it IS National Gutters Day today! http://www.spab.org.uk/media-centre/press-releases/press-release/?C...

Perhaps we should have National Clean up Your Crap When You're Finished Day too?
What is wrong with these people?
Pavement outside Devran was an obstacle course AGAIN this evening

As if yesterday wasn't bad enough THIS cement quagmire & oil drum obstacle course was what I had to walk through this evening.

Why is this allowed?

This was Sunday. To be fair, it was obvious that they were trying to fix the area where their waste is kept. My main concern  was whether they cleaned the pavement after as they left it in a shocking state after cleaning their gutters and pained the wall you can see in this image
