Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

For the past couple of weeks I've had a little black cat in my front garden. It sits on the windowsill looking in looking a bit lost. Wee bit worried about it because the houses along here all have back gardens so its unusual to see cats out the front. I've attached some photos - apologies they're not great because I had to take them through the blinds he/she runs away if you go out

Well done for taking a photo, hopefully someone will recognise it. It's not safe for a cat to be on the street as there is a risk of getting injured by a car.

If no-one recognises the cat on here, you could take the cat to the vet to be scanned to check if microchipped and if needs neutering. Of course, if you can't get near it, that's very tricky!

I guess the cat could be new on the block or lost or if a cat doesn't have a cat flap and can't get into its own home, they will wander. I always encourage cat owners to get their cat neutered, microchipped and have a cat flap. It's safer for a cat to be inside at night as it reduces the risk of it being lost or injured.

Another useful website is www.animalsearchuk.co.uk so it's worth putting a photo on there in the found section.

I think this might be my friend Tessa's cat, whose link is below. I think she is away, possibly without internet connection. He has been lost for about 4 weeks. I am trying to get hold of her...

Hi Pemby,  I had a look at Tessa's photos but its really difficult to tell if its the same cat - it definitely could be. He tends to appear at mine around 8ish in the evening (I'm near the Green Lanes end of Chesterfield Gardens).  We've never seen him in the day, so I don't know if he's developed a routine of people he visits.  He looks a bit lost, but well so I guess he's getting food somewhere.  Once Tessa's back I'm happy to text/call when he appears if she wants to come and have a look

Tessa's partner, Mark is home. I will try and contact him.
