10 Days to Bring Affordable Housing to Haringey

A message from StART:

StART is a Community Land Trust seeking to acquire and redevelop two-thirds of the St Ann’s Hospital site. We want a community-led housing development which meets the needs of people, not profit.

There are now just ten days left of our crowdfunding campaign. We're delighted to have reached £18,500. A big thank you to the hundreds of you who have already pledged your support. Now we're making one final push to achieve our target of £25,000 – and help start to develop a site of truly affordable housing in Haringey.

Since we launched our funding bid in the Summer, St. Ann’s Redevelopment Trust (StART) has continued to be very busy, developing our site plans with architects and putting them out to consultation to local residents with two busy public events.

We have also been making the case to decision makers and figures in housing across London about the importance of a community land trust on this site, and meeting regularly to decide the mix of housing, how to protect the green elements of the site and the best way to make it connect with the existing community.

However, to make our vision a reality, we need to gather more pledges in the next ten days to take forward our architect’s plans and prepare for a full bid on the site.

We are already at 76%, with more people making a pledge each day.
