Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This is a long shot - my friend's cat has gone missing. He's a very shy black cat called Brian. He lives on Ashbrook Road on Elthorne estate in Archway and been missing probably since the early morning. please keep a look out. He used to live with me on the ladder on Fairfax Road as we were cat sitting him for our friends for a year. He's been with them now for 3 months so unusual for him to runaway. He is chipped. Possible sighting near Priory Park around Ashford Road. Please keep a look out

Hope he is found soon. I read that your friend has spotted him in Ashford Avenue N8, by Priory Park. (It must have been a shock for them to have him escape from the cat carrier on the way to Zasman vets). Fingers crossed he is caught today. Hopefully people in the area by Zasman will lookout for him - he has an injured right ear.

It's fortunate that your friend sensibly got him microchipped and neutered. Hope they remember to call the microchip company, tell them he is missing and check that they have owner's correct contact details.

It's good that his details are on Animal Search
I have flagged him up to Stokey Cats and Dogs as they help with lost and found pets. There are useful tips on their website

Thanks Justine. They've found him hiding in the gardens on Ashford Ave and taking it slowly to encourage him to come to them. The residents there have been so kind and helpful. I'll definitely remind them about the chip details as might still have my details on it
. Thanks so much.

Let's hope a neighbour can entice him with food safely inside. Cats can act scaredy if lost/injured in an unfamiliar area, even if they see their owner, so a trap might be needed. Yeoww catnip is very attractive to cats or a Yeoww banana as cats adore the strong catnip scent.

When he is caught, the safest cat carriers to use for transporting cats are the wire/steel (plastic coated) cat carriers which are top opening with a pole that slides through to lock - which means that a cat can't escape.

Many thanks.

Just a reminder to people to please look out for Brian - apparently he is still missing in area of Ashford Avenue N8 by Priory Park/Priory Rd (near Zasman vet).

I am glad to hear that Brian was reunited with his owner yesterday, after being missing for over 2 months.
