I think it's pushing it a bit by the Telegraph to describe Tesco as 'well-to-do', and they've been in Seven Sisters for gawd knows how long, although fair play to them for sticking around in the days when even the likes of Poundland seemed to regard the neighbourhood as too dangerous and debauched to set up shop in.

They probably mean Sainsbury's, which can't be seen from the tube exit but can be seen from Costa

The local store has all the nice stuff you can buy in Waitrose but not in Sainsbury's.

Harringay Local you mean? I go there about once a month to stock up, but mostly I can't face getting a bus up Green Lanes.
Evergreen Express has a lot of what I need so I go there a lot. There's one thing I can only get at a big Sainsbury's - frozen Summer Fruits for £2. I have them with my granola. But I hate going to the Arena Sainsbury's. I fit as many as I can into my freezer so I don't have to go there more often!
Fish. I mostly rely on my Soleshare subscription but it would be nice to have somewhere to buy wild salmon. The little Sainsbury's only sells pre-prepared stuff (I can make my own sauce thanks) and the fish shops on West Green Road terrify me.

You won't get wild salmon there, but for fresh reasonably priced seafood, I strongly recommend North and South (or is it South & North), the Chinese supermarket on Whymark Avenue. The owner stocks up every couple of days at Billingsgate. Chinese buyers are a fussy fish buyers. You're unlikely to go wrong there.

Not until it gets a decent food shop. Not even Tesco does anything now organic. When I asked I was told there was no demand for it in the area. This was not long ago!

Lidl has an increasing organic range. Different corner of Tottnm though.
And much of the now established Sunday market on the Green is organic produce. Bread, cheese, veg, meats etc.
