Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Residents (council tenants and leaseholders) of a council block on the Campsourne estate have been assured by a Hornsey Labour councillor that they will not be affected by the HD7.  That their flats are completely safe from redevelopment and they "have nothing to worry about".

I wonder if Cllr Claire Kobe will put this in writing?

Any chance Zena Brabazon or Noah Tucker could respond to this. Trustworthy people.

Thanks Philip for the vote of confidence!

Campsbourne Estate is not named as one of the estates proposed for transfer to the HDV.  The estates listed in the 'business case are:

CATEGORY 1 - that is the first wave

Northumberland Park Regeneration Area (i.e the estate, Northumberland Park Community School  School, and whatever else falls within the red line)

CATEGORY 2 - Second wave

Broadwater Farm Area N17 - this wording suggests more than just BWF estate itself
Leabank and Lemsford Close N15
Park Grove ( inc Durnsford Road) N11
Tunnel Gardens (inc Blake Road) N11
Turner Avenue/ Brunel Walk N15
Reynardson Court N17
Demountables – Watts Close N15 /Barbara Hucklesbury N22

These are all council estates comprising well over 2000 homes.

The paperwork I've read leaves the door open for further transfers.

Twelve Council owned properties in Hornsey ward which are in the commercial portfolio are listed for transfer which the Council states will be on day 1. These are:

Harringay Boys Club

Harvey  House

7 High Street

11-13  High Street

16 High Street

23 High Street

32 High Street

216 Middle Lane

Mildura Court (a property on a Council estate )

5 Tetherdown

7 Tetherdown

Land at the rear of 101 Tottenham Lane (behind the 101 playcentre)

Full details of  the commercial properties due for transfer can be found here:

Zena Brabazon
Cllr, Harringay Ward

Hi Phillip

Yes as Zena has said Campsbourne has not been identified in the first two phases. Catergory 1 also includes, Wood Green Civic Centre, Wood Green Library, River Park House and Station Rd Council Buildings, Cranwood in Muswell Hill.

Catergory 3 sites are sites that have not been identified yet but that may be suitable for development within the vehicles work. So what the councillor said it is correct that Campsbourne is definitely not in the first 2 priority phases.

this is the kind of knee - jerk attitude that gives social media a bad name. Why don't you investigate the issues yourself? check out cuts to local authority budgets....if you don't like what the local council does why not get involved and try to make the changes yourself? I personally hate what the Labour Council is doing and their entire attitude which is to the right of the king tories! But moaning is easy...I know, I've done enough of it...

Kind of obvious
Sorry who are you ? If you are a resident of Harringay ward and have issues regarding dumping, traffic and veolia then feel free to email me on emine.ibrahim@haringey

Emine, is that your full email address ?

Seems to have cut off emine.ibrahim@haringey.gov.uk

Hi Emina, if I emailed you asking for some very simple information. number of physical locations that had fly-tipping clearance and the total cost of those clearances, would I get a clear transparent reply.
