Discover the history of the Lea valley through raw materials

A new exhibition – ‘Raw Materials: Wood’ - that has recently opened at the Nunnery Gallery, Bow Road, E3- showcases a selection of items, chosen from the Harris Lebus Collections from Haringey Archive.

The exhibition shows the rich heritage of the different wood industries that once existed along the River Lea from Tottenham down to Bow.

This is the first in a series of "Raw Materials" exhibitions at the Nunnery Gallery, which will delve into the history of the local River Lea valley through the ‘raw materials’ that paved the way for the area’s extensive and important industrial development.
