Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anybody leave their washing on the line overnight when the weather is lovely but the clothes are still wet? There's not chance anyone can get into the gardens where i live but everyone takes it in about the time of sunset!

We leave ours out to dry.

What is the point of bringing wet clothes in?

If the temperature drops overnight you'll get a bit of dew on the washing but the morning sun will soon burn it off. My Mam would never leave hers out overnight but that was because where I grew up everyone had coal fires which were lit when it got colder in the evening so in the morning the washing was covered in soot!

I often hang out at night - one less thing to do before work in the morning....

Ha ha, I was just thinking about that - I've got several loads of wash to get done this weekend and it might rain tomorrow afternoon so I'll probably hang some overnight.

I left a heavy rug out on the line last night - it got soaked this morning, but now is well on it's way to being dry.

Lovely to be able to hang things out finally!
