Weekly training suitable for absolute beginners or those with some experience. Classes begin with a warm-up to prepare for this physically demanding art. You will have the opportunity to learn how to climb, hang and balance on various pieces of equipment. We work on strength, flexibility and movement with music, followed by a cool-down.
Classes focus on:
• developing good technique
• working safely for your body
• entertaining your audience
Expect to be challenged and have lots of fun.
About the teacher:
Gaby practices and teaches aerial circus skills in London. She is also a qualified Yoga instructor.
Check out her webpage for more videos and film:
If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
On the Day:
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign-in and so we can get to know you before class. Classes start promptly and include a warm-up, no latecomers will be admitted.
Studio K5 is in a residential area so please be mindful to stay within the studio and toilet area. This is a non-drinking and non-smoking place. Keep your stuff tidy and together with you. After the class leave promptly so the next group can come in. There is a full etiquette guide on the web page studio etiquette
It’s important you tell the teacher if you have any health conditions, injuries old or new so we stay safe
Aerial circus is very FUN and also dangerous (partly why it is fun). Listen and follow instructions from the teacher - be responsive and take responsibility for your own and everyone else’s safety
Tight clothes that offer maximum flexibility are best. You should have coverage below the knees and wear socks. Aerial dance wears out clothes quickly so don’t spoil your favourite leggings. Avoid wearing jewellery.
