Probably worth mentioning that "Transgendered [sic] Trend"  have been described as "a carbon copy of 'ex-gay' [conversion therapy] advocacy campaigns", and "dangerous", "damaging" and "misleading" by LGBT charity Stonewall.

I don't rate Stonewall on this issue. There is an alternative view. https://www.transgendertrend.com/back-to-school-with-stonewall/

It's clear if you read Transgender Trend's schools resource pack (as I have) that they advocate that transgender children should isolated, undermined and outed to their parents, while they suggest that bullying of transgender children by their peers should be tolerated or even encouraged.

They do this while presenting deeply misleading claims as facts that only serve to create a moral panic about an extremely small number of trans children.

It's sinister and dishonest to present this deeply controversial group as "supporting" transgender kids.

I disagree. The pack is online for anyone to read and the meeting is open to all.

There's a group that has organised a leafleting session outside the venue to give anyone who might have been deceived into attending the facts about Transgender Trend.

Calling for trans children's identities to be oppressed and putting their rights up for debate in this way reminds me very much of Section 28, which made my school life miserable and caused me to fear for my job as a gay teacher.

Please do not support this event.

Gender Identity theory encourages children to think that they can choose what sex they are, even though to actually transition will make them a medical patient for the rest of their lives and probably make them infertile too, at an age when they are far too young to understand the implications.

There is a big difference between the struggle for gay rights and the attempts to impose gender identity theory on the whole of society.  All women are affected if the definition of woman is changed to include people who have male genitals and allow them into women only spaces.

Try reading this article to understand the contrasting issues better: https://janeclarejones.com/2018/09/09/gay-rights-and-trans-rights-a...

One of the speakers recently hit the news stateside by umm harassing a trans woman at her place of work https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/prominent-transgender-activ...

Actually she challenged a transgender lobbyist inside the Congress building  about the impact of the transgender ideology on women and children. But don't let facts get in the way of your smear campaign.  They were inside government buildings, exactly where dodgy sexist politics should be challenged.

They harassed a woman - and repeatedly misgendered her - who is press secretary for an organisation lobbying for a change the law.  They asked leading questions that scarcely constitute a challenge ("why do you hate lesbians" is not a challenge).

This was during a trip to the states where Venice Allan and Julia Long (both speakers at HRS) were on a panel at the Evangelical anti-lgbt organisation, the Heritage Foundation alongside the far-right "feminist" group WoLF.

It's honestly a bit weird that Haringey ReSisters are defending an abusive political ambush that crossed the line to hate speech, given how when faced with a low-key leafleting action where attendees were politely offered leaflets, they chained the door of their venue shut, refused to let anyone in, and then spent the next half hour tweeting members of parliament about the horrendous threat to free-speech.  Honestly, it's utterly pathetic.

Does the right to free speech only apply to the spreading of hate and misinformation; do the people you're targeting not have a right to speak up?
