Rainbow Rhythms is a creative course specifically designed to introduce piano to pre-schoolers.
The classes use a series of original teaching methods deployed through songs and storytelling to creatively and musically engage both, the children and parents.
Activities include making their own instruments and exploring the piano and percussion through play to encourage the early development of a musical understanding.
This method of teaching refers to the concept that this age group can learn music most effectively alongside their parent(s).
There is then opportunity to practice the activities at home, so you can continue music making through the week.
The course is ideally suited for under 5s as the songs and activities incorporate colours, numbers and animals.
Small group classes of 3-5 children provide a peaceful environment, in which they can learn, grow confidence and nurture musical ability.
Rainbow Rhythms has been created at Puddles hub with Phoebe Coco, innovative music educator and artist. From a musical background she has created the original course material from years of teaching experience from both leading workshops and teaching privately. Specialising in teaching children, she has a natural manner in which she uses to creatively engage them and musically encourage them. She was awarded First Class Hons for her degree in Music & Visual Arts BA and continues to practice as composer/ session musician professionally.
