Event Description

Crouch End & District U3A
This includes Muswell Hill, Highgate, Stroud Green and Hornsey
A small group in the Muswell Hill and Crouch End area is setting up our local University of the Third Age (U3A).
We will be launching the new U3A on Wednesday 14 June 2017.
The U3A has a over a thousand independent U3As in the UK. Don't be put off by the word "University"! It's for anyone retired or semi-retired to follow whatever interests they fancy - to keep their minds sharp, learn new things and meet new people. Established U3As form interest groups covering a range of topics and activities - groups are run by the members for the members. The annual membership will be £25-35 to be agreed by the members. Each U3A is a charity.
Do let us know if you would like to hear more and want to come to the Launch Event. If you have experience, skills or enthusiasm in a particular area: book group, walking or film clubs, dance, IT - whatever! You might like to consider leading a group.
If any of this has sparked your interest, just contact us on: u3anewgroup@gmail.com
The Launch will be held on Wednesday 14 June at 10.30 for 11.00 start. The venue is The Hornsey Moravian Church Hall, on Priory Road, N8 7HR.
Bus routes are W3, 144 and W7.

My mother is a member of the USA and absolutely raves about it. She is particularly fond of the guided tours they arrange to interesting buildings and areas of London, as well as film viewings and talks. She can't recommend it highly enough
