I would like to thank all the residents we have worked closely with to develop a range of improvements which include:

Updated, mobile-friendly design – making it easier to buy and manage parking permits using a laptop, mobile phone or tablet.

Improved layout with clearer options to manage and apply for permits, and to view and update account details.

Improvements to buying and booking visitor permits – including buying unlimited permits in one transaction.

You will be able to access your improved online parking permits platform from 21st November 2023. When you click the button on the council website to buy a parking permit, you’ll be taken to the upgraded, mobile friendly permits platform.

The improvements highlighted above will not affect you accessing and managing your online parking permits platform as you would usually do.

To view your upgraded online parking permits platform from 21st November please visit https://www.haringey.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/parking/parking-permits

I’ve seen all the signs that have now gone up regarding parking while the Finsbury Park festival events are on this year. I know there have been conversations on here in previous years about the ambiguity of the signs and this year seems the same!

I can’t work out whether visitors permits are going to be allowed or not; the signs seem to be suggesting that it is residents permits only but from what I can see from a thread a couple of years ago, visitors were allowed.

Can anyone confirm what the case was last year or does anyone know what is definitely happening this year?

Last year disabled residents co-produced the Blue Badge Enforcement Policy, leading to tougher action against people who are using Blue Badges fraudulently in Haringey.

A significant investment of £1million has been made into a new system which allows civil enforcement officers to see if a Blue Badge is stolen, has been reported lost or the badge holder has deceased.

The new technology allows an instant response when a badge is being checked and as a result the council have been able to seize over 200 badges that have been stolen and taken off the streets of Haringey.

Vehicles misusing the badge are often taken away with the owner having to pay a fine and forfeiting the Blue Badge.

We've just been issued a PCN labelled as being from Haringey (creditor is listed as Wing, who I thought weren't doing the EPS enforcement any more?). Our parking area is the Suffolk Road N15 estate which is residents-only estate parking scheme, for which we have a permit, clearly displayed.

The ticket claims we were not in a bay (not true). Has anyone else had experience of this or of challenging this? Additionally, the website for paying said fine looks dodgy as hell -…

Thoughts/Advice much appreciated please! This is not the first time we've had to battle incorrect enforcement on the estate (or car was actually towed a few years ago, we proved our case and got both car and money back, but that was under a different operator).

Many thanks HoL people!

Can anyone explain how these cars are able to park for weeks on Effingham and Whightman without ever getting a ticket??!

Obviously spraypainting the no parking sign must help, but these people seem to have found a way to park illegally (often on the pavement) and NEVER get a ticket.

How does that work?…

After a few years away I’m moving back to Harringay soon - looking forward to it.
However, I need to buy visitors permits to use straight away for our removal company and a handyman who is coming to do some work on the house before we unpack. It looks like I won’t be able to apply for these until my residents permit goes through - but I can’t apply for that until moving day! Any ideas as to how I can get around this? In previous years I would have asked to buy paper visitor permits from anyone with spares but that no longer works either…!

How to purchase the new 'virtual' visitor parking permits?tag:harringayonline.com,2022-08-06:844301:Topic:15014272022-08-06T09:34:03.088ZMatthttps://harringayonline.com/profile/MattLewis

I'm trying to buy some new visitor parking permits, and the typically unintuitive council website seems to suggest these are now virtual (just like the residents permits). You start off following this flow:

Which brings you out here, with a list of permits you can apply for or buy right off the bat.
The closest I can see are the 'Permission to Park' permits, which seem aimed at tradesmen. Is this what visitors should be applying for? Can't see shifting the burden of payment from resident to visitor (be they friend/family or tradesman) will go down well when I'm next asked for a permit!

Am I missing something, either figuratively or literally here?

Just a heads up if anyone will be trying to pay for a new residents parking permit online. The Haringey website has an issue with taking Mastercard payments and just frustratingly shuts down the application process, so if you're going to pay online for the above service then have a Visa card at the ready.
