Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

BTCV is involved in two national schemes to improve our local environment. These are excellent initiatives for community and youth groups, students and local people to get involved and make a real difference to there community and environment.

The first is DEFRA's 'Every Action Counts' - this provides a FREE two day training course to anyone interested in getting involved with local community groups. The training will help you become a Community

Champion in your local area. You will be expected to work with three or more community groups, but do not worry the training will cover the issues of how to do that.

You will receive FREE additional training, expenses such as travel and accommodation, support material and website information.

Please see link below on how to register to become a Community Champion: http://www.everyactioncounts.org.uk/

The second scheme is 'Greenprints' this is open to young people aged 16-25 years old. There is up to £10,000 funding for each project that is for practical improvements to your environment. This would be a great opportunity for young people and students to take control and make a real difference. Please see link below to apply online or see forthcoming events that you can get involved with: http://www.sitatrust.org.uk/greenprints
