A Conversation with... Haringey Vanguard BAME LGBTQ+ History Group

50 Years On: Reflections on UK BAME LGBTQ+ life after Stonewall

  • Sunday 27 October, 1.30-4pm

In 2019, there has been lots of celebration about the Stonewall uprising in the US which kick-started the Gay Rights movement 50 years ago. BAME people were at the forefront of that struggle. Black History Month 2019 is a great opportunity to look back at that time and consider the history of the BAME LGBTQ+ community in the UK over the last 50 years.

For Black History Month and organised by Haringey Vanguard BAME LGBTQ+ History Group, a conversation with Olivette Cole Wilson, an activist and member of the group that formed the Stonewall charity, alongside other activists who will be reflecting on their experiences of gay life in 60s, 70s and 80s UK.

All welcome.

Book your place early on Eventbrite.
