Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

You've probably had your leaflet now letting you know that from 22nd October your recycling day will probably have changed. My road is now Wednesday, for example. On the back of this leaflet there is a collection calendar.

You should also have received a new sticker for the top of the bin replacing faded and torn ones and with the collection day on.

Joyce from the Waste Recycling sub-group of Sustainable Haringey has checked with Veolia and this week's collections should take place as usual even if your collection day is Friday. So you will get two collections close together.

Not a dicky bird here yet.

Hmm, we had a letter/leaflet ages ago saying that our collection day was going to change/ may be changing (I can't remember which, as I say it was a couple of months ago) but nothing since to confirm any change or say what day it might be changing to.

Ah well, will assume it's still Friday unless I hear otherwise...

I got the leaflet and sticker on Seymour Road.

Yes, Wednesdays from next week on Wightman Road South.

Even our anti-recycling neighbours should be able to read the leaflet & sticker's graphic dummies' guide. If only their landlords would recycle them!

we haven't had our food waste bin collected for 3 weeks. Not sure if they are still collecting? All other bins have been emptied! Anyone else with the same problem? To be honest, it's the worst bin to leave full.

No new calendar in Salisbury Road yet either. Collection has been erratic there for weeks.

Got my new collection day leafet today, seems that the binmen bring the leaflets when they come aound on the last collection day on the old schedule.
