Nice to see the lovely new theatre at Alexandra Palace featuring prominently in Philippa Perry's film for BBC 4 part of the Victorian Sensations series about the 1890s.
Alexandra Palace used to show the short films made by Victorian pioneers and the BFI have about 500 of them in their archive of the many, many more that were made.
Philippa Perry interviews the curator and watches some of the films in the theatre.
