Apple desk top computer - can anyone recommend training help?

Hi All - I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 desk top computer.  It has stopped being able to play audio extracts on website which I need to be able to listen to for work (on the BBC site for instance).  Can anyone recommend a Mac-savvy patient person who might be able to come round to provide an hour or two's training/advice? Assume I need up-dating but no idea how to go about it. Also, if known, how much they might charge? I am beside Alexandra Palace.  A bit off the Harringayonline track - but I do much enjoy your site. Thanks!

The system requirements look like it should work for your operating system.

Thrilled to be able report that John Snagge is at this very moment telling me that "D-Day has come"  Many thanks to all who have taken an interest in my problems on this terrible terrible afternoon.  Now sun shining from computer, if nowhere else!  What a marvellous invention is Harringay Online.  Thanks again all round.
