Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Don't suppose anybody saw anyone acting (more) suspiciously (than normal) on Burgoyne Road between 9am and 7pm today, did they?

Somebody broke in, seemingly with a set of keys, and then double locked the door behind them as they left, presumably to make the fact that they were walking out with various electrical goods look less dodgy. As all the lights were left on, my guess is it happened between 4 and 7, but who knows?

And even if nobody saw anything, it's worth flagging up that thieves are around at the moment. Johnson's bloody Britain, eh?

Sorry you were burgled but why blame Johnson ?

Er, that bit was a joke. The burglary was real, though

How did they get a set of keys do you know?

I don't know for sure, but by a process of elimination, I think it was probably when the house was on the market over the summer. My guess is that I foolishly left a set out somewhere and they were taken when somebody came to view it. That's the only plausible explanation I have!

Given that there were quite a few viewings as well, I think it would be almost impossible to pin anything on anybody that way...

Sorry to hear this Phil. Sounds like you didn't have any cameras but did any of your neighbours have one that might have caught something?

Thanks, Shariq. I don't think they do (have asked a couple of people)

Not accusing anybody of anything but I'm always surprised how people are happy to give sets of keys to their cleaners so they can come when the owners are out.

So have you actually noticed a set missing, I mean only you will know how many you had, and if one is missing and you can’t find them?!

To be honest, I had a few sets, but I've no idea precisely how many. I suspect there's a lesson for me to learn there somewhere

Okay, well yes it might of helped a bit, I assume you might of changed your locks since then?!
