Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Campaign for public swimming pools in Wood Green
We are asking Haringey Council to include a leisure centre with swimming pools in the Wood Green Area Plan. There has been no public swimming pool in Wood Green for two decades, since Western Road pool shut in 1997. There are only two leisure centres with public pools in the whole of Haringey, Park Road and Tottenham Green.
A combined leisure centre and pool in Wood Green would be a huge asset for residents of all ages. It’s vital that this opportunity is not lost.

With number of new apartments they're going to build you'll need more than one pool.

Signed- out door heated pool preferably 50m, would be great. has to happen, we all need to pressurise them. That is how they renovated London Fields which is now just massively busy and a major money earner
so at the moment i go most days tohackney london fields lido, best pool in London run by Better- not for profit company, and bargain £31/mth- just put their prices up But yes otherwise you can turn up and pay on the day
And whilst london Fields shut for next few mths, now going to park lane, were you can also just turn up and pay your money.
Swimming is by far the best form of exercise for the body, with a bit of walking inbetween to get your weight bearing exercise
This is a no brainer for harringay
