Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Watch out, thieves about. The case of wine was actually delivered to the wrong house this morning and left there in the front garden. I found the empty box a couple of hours later at the passage crossing. May or may not be related to the three somewhat shabby gentlemen I had seen earlier, before finding the empty case, hanging around in the passage, clearly half cut!

Judging by the widespread substance abuse and large number of drunks and degenerates loitering all around the borough I am sorry to say that a case of wine has a snowball's chance in hell surviving our in the open. Sorry for your loss.

I confess I've tried to have a more compassionate internal response to some of the behaviour we see around here but I can't think of anymore charitable a description than 'drunks and degenerates'.

I'm sure one could blame it on austerity or something but it really bothers me.

And yes, sorry for your loss...

Sorry this happened to you. I'm looking forward to the parcel front door becoming commonplace:

Hmmm... can't imagine that door coming in under 10k

Tiny design flaw.  When the expanding thingies are expanded, how on earth do you open the door (in your average U.K. house with an average U.K. narrow hall)?

The three characters hanging around and scoring and then consuming early afternoon was definitely both very messed up and also wriong 'uns, so could well have been them. There seems to have been another of the sporadic upticks of dealing in the passage of late too, which is never good.

Oh yes, courier (Yodel) totally at fault, and the supplier is sending a replacement case. And I let the police know too but understandably they probably won't pursue it.

One shouldn't let the butler have a day off.  One just can't get the staff these days.....

Oh I know. Regrettably, to maintain levels of confidence (and wine consumption) among my investors, I've had to put the butler on a zero hours contract, and she only turns up in between her Deliveroos.
